Host Ryan Prieur kicked off the draft by thanking everyone who was possible for making this big day happen...His first line of business was announcing the new president of the TNHLPA, who was none other then former Skead Shock power forward Adam Waszczylo...

Adam Waszczylo made his announcements quick as everyone in the crows was anxious to get underway. He also thanked everyone for the honour to repsent the TNHLPA and asured the players there would be no off-ice disruptions, "I am no Trevor Linden, i will do everything in my power, possible to get what the players want" said Wash. He then quickly announced that Derrek Hamel was going to be his 2006-2007 Vice President. Derrek Hamel then made his way to the podium..

Vice President Derrek Hamel explained to the players and fans that another member of the TNHLPA has been added to the list, Adam Guilbault former General Manager of the Chemmy Tahoes, and he also stated there were two more spots available on the TNHLPA. He then turned things back over to hoist Ryan Prieur. To begin with the selections for the TNHL Draft...

Ryan Prieur then without no more delays made the announcement of who had the 1st pick of the night. And that was to no ones suprise since the lottery was held at random weeks ago at the L.U Pub. Ryan announced that the draft was now underway with The Garson Gamecocks and general manager David Cividino were on the clock with there 1st pick overall...

With Cividino on the clock..The GM's are making there last minute updates... However not yet in attendance is Darren "Sally" Edward, General Manager of the Sudbury Skoal...With Cividino on the clock, Edwards yet to be in the building, what happens when it comes time for his 4rth overall pick...

Cividino, wasting no time approached the podium. "After weeks of pondering on my desicion, Im not going to lie, I wasn't quite sure who i was going to go with untill one day i logged on the internet and seen this mans nickname as ""Getting ready for the T""...At this moment I knew who i was going to go with...The Garson Gamecocks are proud to re-select, 1st overall...Darren Fabiilli"

Darren Fabilli has been Selected 1st Overall for the Garson Gamecocks by GM David Cividino...

1st overall pick Darren Fabilli made his way to the podium with nothing but a huge smile on his face. Proudly shook hands with general manager David Cividino and posed for a proud picture wearing the cocks logo with respect on his chest.

Ryan Prieur then announced that the Skead Shock and GM Jarrod Crawford were now on the clock...Without any hesitation Crawford jumped from his seat and made his way to the podium...After Fabiilli going 1st overall witch from what we were told was not a big suprise, however with that being the cause every pick after number 1, wasnt a forsure thing...

"With the 2nd overall pick...The Skead Shock are proud to select, from Skead, Ontario local sniper Adam Waszczylo.."

2ndoverallwash.jpg

2nd overall in the draft was Adam Waszczylo..Adam made his way to the podium to a "shocking" suprise an announcement was then made that Adam and the Shock were proudly sponsored this year by "Walbridge"...Adam put the jersey on and the new Lid..posing with GM Jarrod Crawford...

Ryan Prieur announces that the Chemmy Tahoes and GM Derek Radey are now on the clock...

*Derek Radey interupts the draft proceding's to make an announcement ragarding the new look the Tahoes will be going for this year*

" This year with new management in charge of the Tahoes, I would like to announce that we will be known from now on as...The Chemmy S-BOMBS...We will be wearing Yellow Jerseys out there...and at this time we dont have the new logo available due to copyright issues, I want to ensure you we will have it very shortly...."

" I on behalf of the new look Chemmy S-Bombs am proud to select the most improved player over the off-season...From the bottom dwelling Sudbury Skoal one of the best two way players in the league...3rd overall...Tyler Belland."

3rdoverallbelland.jpg

Tyler Belland's name being announced wasn't such a big suprise to everyone in the room, except Tyler Belland himself. Sources say his name was near, if not at the top of every GM's draft list this year.

Ryan Priuer approached the podium once again to make an announcement that would boggle the crowd...

"I would like to make a note that Darren Edward, GM of the Sudbury Skoal is unable to attend the draft today, however arrangements have been made so whoever is in charge of making his selection would u please come up and do so"...

After that announcement former GM of the Skead Shock Jesse Winn approached the podium with folders in his hand. It seemed as if Darren Edwards has put his faith at this years season in the hands of Jesse Winn, witch wouldn't be a bad idea since Winn does have the GM experience...

Jesse then announced that infact he would be making the Selections this year for the Skoal...After minutes of looking over the list and quite frankly shrugging his shoulders at what to do...he made is announcement and did what any other man would of done...Picked himself...

"On behalf of general manager Darren Edward and the Skoal organization...The Sudbury Skoal are proud to present to you, with our 4rth pick overall..Top rated goaltender...Myself, former Shock GM newest member of the Skoal...Jesse Winn..."

Jesse Winn then shook hands with himself, was it faith that jesse wore red on this night?...

The GM's were all, nothing but satisfied with there 1st Round Picks. After the first round was complete there was a short stoppage to regroup and go over the next round of selections..
